Looking for a strong ensemble: Women, men and teens who will play wives, reporters, husbands, fans, etc. Must sing well and be able to move. A list of roles can be found here.

You are one among several who will be performing on the stage and reviewed by the casting committee. The committee is a group of key people producing the show, including the director, music director and so on. During the auditions, you are asked to sing a short selection (sixteen bars preferred) and read a short selection from the musical (provided by the committee). Movement (Dance) auditions will be used.

Musical Accompaniment will be provided to you. We normally have a staff pianist at your disposal and a sound system for those with CD or MP3 accompaniment.

Based on the novel, The Year the Yankees Lost the Pennant by Douglass Wallop, “Damn Yankees” the Broadway mega-hit and winner of seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical, hits it out of the park! The winning score by Adler and Ross and a devilish book by George Abbot have made this sporty musical comedy a true American classic.

Middle-aged baseball fanatic Joe Boyd, trades his soul to the Devil, also known as Mr. Applegate, for a chance to lead his favorite team to victory in the pennant race against the New York Yankees. As young baseball sensation, Joe Hardy, he transforms the hapless Washington Senators into a winning team, only to realize the true worth of the life that he’s left behind. Joe ultimately must outsmart Applegate, shepherd the Senators to the World Series and return home to the wife he loves.

Light, fast-paced and devilishly clever, Damn Yankees is a homerun hit, featuring all-American subject matter and an irreverent sense of humor. Damn Yankees is a wicked, romantic comedy, sure to please.
