Now, for those of you not familiar with the show, “Into the Woods” premiered on Broadway on November 5, 1987. The musical intertwines the plots of several Brothers Grimm fairy tales and follows them to explore the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests. The show covers multiple themes: growing up, parents and children, accepting responsibility, morality, and finally, wish-fulfillment and its consequences. The characters include Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel, and Cinderella, as well as several others. The musical is tied together by an original story involving a childless baker and his wife and their quest to begin a family, their interaction with a Witch who has placed a curse on them, and their instances with other storybook characters during their journey.

Auditions are January 6th and 8th at the Flickinger Center at 7PM. If you are an actor or musician (orchestra) please come down and fill out an audition sheet. If you want to assist with crew, set work, costumes or lighting please join us as well! Don’t miss out, join in on the fun of an AMT show!
