ANNIE AUDITIONS APPROACH!

annie_logoThe Alamogordo Music Theater is pleased to announce the auditions for it’s summer musical “Annie”!

“Annie” is about a spunky orphan girl finds a home with a New York millionaire during the Depression, but must dodge the clutches of her evil orphanage mistress. “Annie” is a Charles Strouse, Martin Charnin and Thomas Meehan’s musical based on the popular Harold Gray comic strip.

Check out the info below to prepare for the auditions! If you wish to be considered for a major role in the show, please have a accompanied song prepared. Auditionees with unaccompanied songs (singing without music) will only be considered for the chorus.

WHEN: May 7th &  8th at 6:30 pm
WHERE: Flickinger Center
ADDITIONAL INFO: Roles available for men, women, boys and girls ages 8 and up! Be prepared to sing a short piece of music and read from the script. Please bring a Karaoke CD or sheet music. An accompanist will be provided or you can bring your own.

We also would like to thank you all for your patronage and support through our production of “Godspell”! Without you to help support live theater, we would not be able to put on the shows that we do and fund the scholarships we provide to area students.

Remember! If you have an interest in doing an AMT show, our auditions for “Annie” are May 7th and 8th at the Flickinger. Whether you like performing or you rather be behind the scenes, there is a place for everyone in our shows. Come on out! You will have the time of your life.

Production dates are Friday, April 18th and Saturday, April 19th at 7PM. Celebrate the Easter Holiday with AMT and their inspiring production of “Godspell”! Tickets are available at the Flickinger Center, Alamo Optical and TLC in the White Sands Mall.

Did you get a chance to see AMT’s “Godspell” this past weekend? The cast put on three great performances at the Flickinger Center. If you did not get an opportunity to see it yet, “Godspell” will have two more performances this weekend on Friday and Saturday at 7PM. Come see cast members Keith Dodson, Ryan Throrp, Mike Julian, Ronnie Brockett, Donnie Burt, Heather Bash, Sage Drake, Kelly Henley, Michael Carillo, Jacob Powers, JD Hilliard and Brandi Holcomb perform the dynamic numbers from this Stephen Schwartz (“Wicked”) musical. Tickets are available at TLC in the Mall, Alamo Optical and the Flickinger Center. We will see you there.

GODSPELL OPENS TONIGHT!

“Godspell” opens tonight at the Flickinger Center. Come see AMT’s amazing cast perform in this terrific show. Godspell tells the Gospel According to St. Matthew. Presented in a series of skits and songs, with Jesus and his disciples presented as whimsical characters. The musical features songs by Stephen Schwartz (creator of the musical “Wicked”), conceived and originally directed by John-Michael Tebelak.

Performances this weekend are tonight at 7pm, Saturday at 7pm and a Sunday matinee at 2pm. Tickets are available at the door for $10 dollars!  We will see you there!
