In addition to rehearsals for the summer production of “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying”, several members also put on “Broadway at the Flick”. The show was a benefit to raise money for the Flickinger Center here in Alamogordo. The night was filled with music from shows like the Pajama Game, City of Angels, Pippin, Rent and Chicago, just to name a few. AMT would like to recognize all that were involved, Bailey Rardin, David Humm, Pary Bennett, Mike Julian, Makala Hanagan, Daniel Humm, Cecilia Rogers, Jeremy Patton, Megen Westwood, Randall Cutts, Keith Dodson, Donnie Burt, Loren Jackson, Ronnie Brockett and Jason Brockett. All their efforts truly made for a spectacular evening!

Alamogordo_Flickinger_Center_for_Performing_ArtsThis Friday and Saturday night Alamogordo Music Theatre is putting on a benefit for the Flickinger Center for Performing Arts as a part of their “Sounds of the Summer” series. Called “Broadway at the Flick”, it’s a bunch of great songs from many different shows, lots of talent, and enjoyable for the whole family. The show starts a at 7:00, tickets are only $10. Please come out and support the Flickinger! If you are interested in tickets, buy them here!

All sorts of people come out to participate in our shows; teachers, house wives, students, bartenders, executives, just to name a few! They all come together to make a dynamic show and it’s all for the sake of entertaining the community! “How to Succeed” is no different. Our cast comes out after long days at work and taking care of families to learn music and staging at rehearsals. By the end of a show, the cast becomes very close, almost like a family. It’s these relationships that keep many coming back year after year.

Rehearsing up a Storm!

All the cast and crew have been working feverishly to learn the challenging music of the show. Above Ronnie Brockett, Kelly Henley and Jason Brockett, who play lead characters Smitty, Rosemary and J. Pierpont (respectively), blaze through the music to the finale to show.
